  1. "Now with .02% Sack for the same price!"

Game Sack is doing it's part to fight shrinkflation!

  2. I hate video games more than Hitler, Hell, and homework on the weekend, but I love me the first Turtles cart on the NES. I play the dam level to relax after work every day.

  3. You didn’t bring up the battle nexus game boy game, but other than that great video

  4. In soooo looking forward to the cowabunga collection to have access to these again

  5. There was an Xbox live turtles game from Activision that came before that horrible attempt of a Konami beat them up you showed here. Valon deserves the worst turtles game title in my opinion. Ugly, buggy, and just not fun to play. It’s one of the few games that I am glad became vaporware

  6. I played some of these games. My favorite is TMNT 3 for NES, Turtles in time for the Arcade and SNES. Turtles 1 for PS2 wasn't that great, but funny with them saying "Bang zoom" "Slice and dice". Turtles 1 for NES was super hard for me on the hardware, but I think I will try it again on an emulator with save states.

  7. How did they do the transparencies for the shadows in the Genesis version of tournament fighters?

  8. I am so hoping to be able to grab Cowabunga Collection upon release. I played the first stage of Shredder's Revenge on the Cloud as well.

  9. 17:15 – This is a new genre that Indie devs need to drive into the next universe like they did with Metroid-Vania's… it is a Mega Metroid-Vania… the intermediate boss fights remind me of mega man.

  10. "Sometimes the framerate will take a hit". That's what happens when you play with an old mobile phone processor.
I don't get why so many youtubers analyze current games use the Switch, everything else is MUCH better.

  11. Man, the first Nickelodeon TMNT game has got to be the low point. The voice acting comes off as someone who actively hates the franchise and is deliberately sabotaging it.

  12. There's also a newer arcade game by Raw Thrills. Great video as always.

  13. Turtles in Time on the SNES is the best Turtles game, up until Shredder's Revenge.

  14. My Top 3 (no particular order):
    – Turtles in Time (SNES)
    – Shredder’s Revenge
    – Turtle’s The Arcade Game (Arcade)

  15. The reason there's so many croissants in TMNT on GBA is because that's what the french eat over there at Ubisoft Montreal

  16. Another amazing episode, Joe. Can't wait for the next one. Love from California!!!!

  17. If I had to guess, you didn't have access to Turtles in Time Reshelled for this episode?

Also, I expected you to say the name "Tee Lopes" and put a picture of him on screen like you do every time you say the name, "Yuzo Koshiro" because I believe that there will be a point when Tee Lopes is held in the same sort of regard as Yuzo Koshiro as far as video game composition goes.

also, those challenge fail messages are important and let you know when you need to back out of a stage to try it again.

  18. Were the 16-bit and 8-bit consoles, arcades, and GB/GBA games captured on Mister? Those filters/shadow masks look very familiar! Thanks for the great video though! Reminds me of the old video about all Wonderboy/Adventure island games, which is still my favorite all this time later! Keep up the good work

  19. I guess I'm not surprised you skipped Turtles in Time: Reshelled… Ubisoft really dropped the anchovies on that one. Looking forward to Cowabunga Collection I didn't really have any interest in TMNT games past those in the collection…. at least not until shredder's revenge was announced! definitely one of the best TMNT games of all time, without a doubt! as far as classic turtles SNES turtles in time is definitely the best one, shame there couldn't be some kinda memory or other romhack to make it four players, you know? (like those SA-1 speedup hacks? I'm not a rom hacker so I don't know that it's even possible) otherwise it's perfect.

  20. Awesome episode as always, Joe, the definitive video about the TMNT. Also, nice drawings Joe!

  21. One of the ones you didn´t cover was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows from Red Fly studio.

  22. Error two new levels in tmnt 2 the arcade game there was a dojo level too.

  23. I cannot believe the voice acting volume in the 2013 game actually shipped

  24. I get that the Genesis turtles fighting game need it work in the gameplay front but I'm surprised nobody ever talks about those crazy awesome backgrounds

  25. I like the Danger of the Ooze title screen paying homage to the original NES game's cover

  26. Mutants in Manhattan “Just dont play too much in one sitting.”
I beat the whole game in one sitting when I had to work an overnight shift. It was awful but I beat it lol

  27. I visited my mom and all my original TMNT toys and comics were there. So cool you did this topic! And the added .2 percent sack is an added bonus.

  28. I had a Genesis growing up. I loved Hyperstone Heist, but definitely also loved getting to play Turtles in Time when I went to my friend’s house.

I have a real soft spot for Tournament Fighters on Genesis. I know it’s pretty trash mechanically and I could never get anywhere in the single player, but my dad and I had so much fun playing against each other. I was always Ralph and he was Mikey.

  29. When you talked about drawing the ninja turtles that brought back some memories, I'd guess I'm of a similar age. Anyway I used to draw the ninja turtles I'd draw anything tbh I just loved drawing back then, my mother still has a picture I drew of them when I was probably about 12 maybe 13 years old.

  30. Love all the NES games, and the SNES one.

  31. The Neon Night Riders theme still slaps all these years later!

  32. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Rescuepalooza is the best TMNT game IMO, PC fangame that blows away Shredder's Revenge.

  33. Wow! What a great episode, and just in time because I just bought the arcade 1up TMNT and pre ordered the cowabunga collection and Shredder’s revenge. Thank you for your hard work.

  34. They actually added two levels into Turtles 2 on the NES. The snow level and the dojo.

  35. An ending skit with an actual constructed joke and punchline! I LOLed. Also, I knew as soon as you said "radio buddy" during the show that it would be an element in the ending skit lol.

  36. Man, me and my cousin used to spend countless hours sitting on the floor in front of my grandma’s tv playing Turtles in Time on SNES.

  37. Shredders revenge is definitely my favorite. Awesome animation, controls, graphics, sound design and music. Man, there's some damn good tunes in that one. I find myself humming the shit all the time, even when its been days since I've last played.

  38. Seeing and hearing Turtles in Time in an arcade or movie theater for the first time is an unforgettable experience.
